posted some logos i've done recently. this is work i'd like to do more of. also, i've started a new series (which, with any luck, will be seen through to its conclusion) called goddesses of the post apocalypse; the first entry has been added. originally my thought was to do the whole series in the same method: basically a mizture of editing in photoshop and live tracing in illustrator an initially hand-drawn image. now, though, i'm thinking i might mix it up and do some painting. i've found that while i'm certainly a capable digital artist, the work process doesn't give me quite the same thrill that i get out of painting. i love the results, but it's the journey and not the destination, or whatever. anyway, here we are!

happy new year, everybody! hope all's well for you and yours. around here, there's some updated work for the children's book on the dad enough for us page, and the book is nearly complete. this is exciting. also, a new painting entitled the marriage has been added (and can be seen as my new mascot on the index page), and there is some new sketchbook stuff in the miscellany section. thanks for your webtime.

alright! another four months. hope you're all well.

some general reorganization has occurred.

construction has begun on a new project: a pre-kindergarten reader called dad enough for us, written by john f. boehle and his daughter, emma; i've started concepting the illustrations, and they can be seen at their own page in the commercial illustration section.

i'm now at liberty to post z. vex pedal designs that were shown at NAMM 2009 (a music tech conference in california that occurred in january), so look at that page too.

finally, some new sketches in the miscellany section. right on.

another long lapse between updates. sorry, everybody. i guess i've been busy!

items of note: two new commercial illustration projects have been added. the illustrations on display for the hygge & west children's line can also be seen - as well as purchased - at hygge & west's website. additionally, some new custom work is up for viewing at the z. vex effects pedals page.

that book with the set design pieces, it seems, won't be published for several months. whoops.
